Language in Mexico Language Ethnicity and Language Ethnicity is an important so far highly imprecise concept in contemporary Mexico. Students of Mexican society, as well as Mexicans themselves, identify two grownup ethnic groups based on heathenish rather than racial differences: mestizos and Indians.
